Being a mother can be a time of great highs and great lows. It can be difficult to know what is ‘normal’ and sometimes mothers feel quite unprepared for the changes that happen in their lives as a result of having a baby.
Mother Kind is a relaxed and friendly space where mums can get together and talk about the emotional aspects of being a mother.
It is led by counsellor, Sarah Wheatley, and is a safe, supportive space to talk about how being a mother affects you. It can be really reassuring to find out what we share as mothers, and to be supported in your role as a mother – one of the most important jobs in the world.
Babies can come along, and both breast and bottle-feeding are welcome during the sessions.
We meet at Tribe Porty, above Earthy on Windsor Place, Portobello, Edinburgh.
The group is from 1.15-2.45pm every Wednesday during school term time.
We ask for a donation of £5 to help cover room hire and teas/refreshments. If you are unable to pay this, please let me know and we can work something out.
