The thought of childbirth can raise a lot of anxiety and fear, whether you are approaching it for the first or n’th time. The prospect of childbirth can cause a great deal of worry and you might want an extra bit of support to help you face this more easily.
There can be a lot of expectation and judgement about how you give birth and so it can be helpful to have a supportive space to explore how you really feel and gain an insight into what will help you through this transition.
Some of the things that affect how you or your partner feel about giving birth are an experience of birth trauma, either directly or indirectly, or the knowledge that you are unable to have the birth you would like, for medical reasons.
Whatever reason you find yourself feeling anxious or stressed, counselling can help. If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch with me, Sarah Wheatley.
I offer counselling appointments during the day Monday-Thursday, as well as occasional evenings.
